Jack Newcombe  aka Omastudios, the Developer of Apps like Gemini File Manager and Taskr, strikes again. The Name “Taurus the white Bull”  doesn’t tell you anything about the App. So what is it good for? I would call it a (Social) Media Aggregator. It lets you combine your Information’s, Streams or Feeds from different Resources und one Hood (it has some similarities to !Incredible but does so much more).

I’m amazed. Zap Photoshare from Hominid Software is the first webOS App I know that supports Touch to Share.

So what’s it all about? Basicly it’s an App to share your Photos from your Device with any Client in the same WLAN. Once you have the App started you can choose what Folder you want to share. After some Seconds that Folder can be accessed with a normal Web browser. To get to the Device from you PC you can either enter the URL the App is telling your or send an Email/SMS with the URL. If you own a Pre3 or Veer with webOS 2.2 or higher and a TouchPad you use Touch-To-Share.

Android Apps on webOS

Openmobile will soon release their Application Compatibility Layer (ACL™). ACL will allow to run any of the 250.000+ Android Apps within a Card on webOS. They even promise to support full speed 3D graphics.When you install a APK (Android Install File) on your webOS Device the ACL will put below it. You get a normal Icon within your Launcher. The App will start as a normal Card. This is possible thru a Dalvik VM. Currently the Amazon Android store is supported, the official Android Market will follow.

Patch: Agenda Exhibition Mode Background Image

After doing some unoffizial Patches for some third Party Apps my first offizial Patch was released today. You can find it in Preware in the Categorie “Calendar”. The Patch only works for the TouchPad and allows you to change the Background Image for the Agenda Exhibtion Mode App.

After installing the Patch just copy an Image with the Name “AgendaBG.png” to the Folder “Wallpapers” and restart the TouchPad (or Luna). Be sure that the Image size is 1024×786 Pixel.
